Who wants in?

We will take up to 20 participants!  Still room for you to play if you would like to!

The Vintage Bling Charm Necklace Swap

Last year, I participated in the vintage bling charm bracelet swap, hosted by Cheryl and Sandy from CA, at Silver Bella.  I absolutely LOVE my bracelet but I have worn it more as a necklace than a bracelet.   I have received so many lovely comments each time I wear it.  My sissy Lynn didn't get in the swap last year and without a Silver Bella this year, we think it's time for some happy thoughts!   We are looking for 23 gals who love the bling!  More details coming...leave a comment if you would like to be a part of this amazing swap!

For those of you who may be on the fence, this may help. Here's what you will need to participate in this amazing swap:

*20 pieces of silver looking vintage rhinestone pieces.  They do not have to be perfect.  It's okay to have some of the stones missing.  All shapes and sizes!

*Remove any backs of earrings, pins, other things that need to go so the bail fits nicely.

*The pieces need to be at least 1 inch in size and no larger than 2 inches.

*Glue (E6000 works great) or solder (if you are comfortable with soldering) a jewelry bail on the back of the piece.  Hobby Lobby sells glue on jewelry bails that work awesome.  A bail is a piece that has a loop on it so you can add a jump ring to the charm.

*Send your pieces and a chain, your desired length, to Lynn and I by June 1.  This gives everyone a chance to be on the hunt for the bling!  We will assemble your necklaces and hopefully have them out by mid-June.  NOTE:  The necklace chain length is your preference but be sure to have a length that is long enough for 20 charms.

Please let me know if you have any questions and just leave us a comment if you would like to sign up!

  1. What a lovely idea!! I hadn't planned on going to Silverbella this year because of stuff going on in my personal life but I was sad to see that it was canceled this year. What a lovely idea for a swap.

  2. I didn't go last year either, so I would love to be in on this!

  3. What a great idea! I will just sit out of this one though as my talent is not worthy in this area and anxiously await the photos of the beautiful creations that will come from this venture!!

  4. Oh it is a great idea.....what is the time frame? I might be able to participate if I have enough time to create 25.

  5. I am in.... Loved that bracelet and was SO stinking sad I didn't participate in that swap!!!

  6. We would love to give this a try. Let us know if we make it in please. Michelle and Ashley. Funkygirlychick at roadrunner dot com. Thanks!

  7. I would like to be in. This would be my first time. Let me know if I am in and I will start the hunt here around the Va. Beach area.

  8. I just saw this post for the swap. Not sure if you have your quota of participants, but I would love to join. I'll need to do some serious estate sale and flea market shopping.
Please let me know if I am included so that I can start the search. Mary Kahler
